I have been asked to make cross cookies for twin boy and girl first communion. I will be doing a white cross, but am at a loss as to how else to decorate. So I turn to all of you wonderful decorators for ideas. Would like a simple design as I am pretty much a beginner......thinking of either small shell or bead border, but what to put in the center?

I'm about to be doing cross cookies for my niece's communion. I'm still thining about what to do, also. Maybe littel flowers on the white cross? or some lattice work?

I'd appreciate any suggestions too - they have to be shipped, so I don't wnat to do any large or 3-d flowers....

thanks!

There's a pretty Communion cookie in the 2006 Wilton book!

MomLittr -
I just did a search for "cross" in the gallery - there are so many lovely ones! The cakes there may give you inspiration for the cookies, too. I have a few great ideas now!

Bonnie, I like the idea of laticework. Being this is for a boy and girl, I am trying to keep it as neutral as possible. One idea, am trying to figure out how to do a small gold cross in the middle without it looking too simple or crude. I looked at all those cakes, gorgeous!
