So, I got a couple of yards today. It looks kind of wrinkley. Is it supposed to? I kept thinking that it's probably going to make the fondant wrinkley too. Am I missing something?
It's fairly thick, but not super thick.

I think yours is too thin. I bought mine at Walmart and their thinner vinyl was also wrinkly. The thickness of mine would make it very hard to wrinkle.

Thanks for responding. I bought the thickest they had but maybe it wasn't enough.

I bought a thinner vinyl and this is what I did....cut your peices and soak them in very hot water for a few minutes (you'll be able to feel it soften a bit) and then lay flat to dry. You can also cover with a towel and iron over the top of it. I haven't had any problems with mine doing the hot water method. Then to store it, I roll it onto a PVC pipe or old wrapping paper tube.

Roll out your fondant on the vinyl and have someone help you flip it over and hold it over the cake you are going to cover then slowly peel off one end of the fondant and the rest will follow and it covers your cake very nicely you are able to center the fondant over the cake and it comes out very very smooth.. if your vinyl has no wrinkles... if it does run it under some hot water and lay flat to dry.. the vinyl I mean
