OMG!!! That came out great! I'm so glad my directions were helpful.
Sorry, I know this is the wrong place for this question, but since this topic was showing a sticky I thought maybe someone could help. I have asked the same question in the HOW DO I FORUMS & also sent an email to the Moderator, but no one seems to have replied........dont know why. Anyway please can someone let me know if I want to post instruction then HOW CAN I MAKE A STICKY FOR THAT TOPIC........I have recently posted an video instruction on PATCHWORK CUTTERS, but it seems to have got lost with all the new messages being added ................can someone please help. Sorry again for posting in this forum.............
I am really excited to try making this cake! I'm going to in a few weeks for my grandmother's birthday - I've already tried making some of the GP flowers for the first time and think they turned out quite nice. I just had a question because I'm not sure if it matters or not - for the styrofoam lid can I just cover all of it in fondant or is there some advantage to covering the one part in GP? Thanks
I just finished my first hat box cake this weekend (and first flowers!) and my grandma absolutely loved the cake. Thanks for the great info to help me in making it

I thought I saw on someone's siggy that they were going to be in Ultimate Cake off this week...
was I dreaming? or no lol
If so, who is it, and I can't wait to see it
Why do you cover the top with GP on one side & fondant on the other? BTW your cake is very pretty.
Thank you all for you nice commnets about my instructions. I always have trouble getting into this post (long story about when CC crashed a couple of years ago), so sorry if I have not responded to your questions.
Wow that's a beautiful cake! Thanks for the tips. How did you so the 'engraved' look on the tiers? Looks like carved marble!
Sorry if this has already been asked, but this thread is so long!!

The designs one the sides are just impression cutters. I got them from Global Sugar Art.
