I was wondering if anyone new where I could purchase the screw/bolt thing that comes with the doll mold to attach the stand to the cake pan.
I don't know what happened to mine and I can't use it without that?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Connie
To see if you can get a replacement, I would recommend contacting Wilton directly. For information their contact email is:
[email protected]
Otherwise, you might be able to improvise using a bolt with a head small enough to fit in the rod (for added height/stability, like the original, you might need to put 1 or 2 nuts on the bolt before assembly of the pans) and then place another nut on the bottomside of the pan to join.
(NOTE: Not even sure if this would work, but necessity is the Mother of all invention!)
gmcakes,
Thank you for your help. I have sent Wilton an email, guess I will just have to see what they say.
I will let you know what I find out.
Thanks
Connie
I just cover the hole with a piece of tin foil. The heating rod will stand up in cake batter so I place it in and gently move the pan to the oven on a cookie sheet.
My question is how much batter is recomended for this pan?
Edited to say I grease the pan first. Then I apply a square of grease foil then I flour the whole thing. Works great every time.
I wanted to let y'all know what happened when I emailed Wilton about the piece missing from my doll mold pan.
They quickly sent me a replacement part. They have great customer service as far as I am concerned.
Thanks gmcakes for the tip on contacting Wilton directly!!
