so sad right now, I have been on this cupcake baking frenzy and this is the first cupcake I made that I am embarrassed to give away to my co-workers. Here are the problems

1. cake is very bland
2. cake is very dry
3. frosting is too sweet

it just taste like a dry sponge with sugar goo on it. Has anyone made this cupcake and got good results? I followed the recipe and didn't change a single thing. I will say only one good thing, I made the frosting wild colors and that made me smile. Perhaps if someone has some tips I may one day try this recipe again.
