All,
I made the giant ding-dong cake and it came out great! However, I had some questions, mostly about the chocolate topping ...
The recipe said to add water, I did that and it was fine, but I always thought water added to chocolate would cause it to sieze up. Why didn't this happen.
I also love the way the frosting poured and looks, but it's a bit chewy. Is this normal, and if so, how could it alter it a bit to be less chewy?
BTW, the filling is OUT OF THIS WORLD! I can't believe it wasn't grainy since it was made with regular sugar!
Where'd you find the recipe? Looks very yummy!! I'd like to try this myself. Think it would be a hit at any party!!
When I first read the thread title I thought we were going to check out a naughty cake! I must admit that this is just as nice! I'd love the recipe also, if you get the time to post it.
That looks just perfect! My mother-of-the-groom asked that hers be decorated "nice". Now, what the heck does tHAT mean??
The recipe is in the recipe archives. I don't know how to post the link here. It was very easy.
Good luck!
It is easy and delicious. It's a family favorite here!
