Hey, everyone. I am still working on ideas for hubby's cake. I was wondering if anyone could tell me if it would be ok to place a BCT on top of fondant that has been dusted with luster dust? I am making his cake like an awards plaque and was thinking to make a fondant background, dusted with gold luster dust with the BCT on top of that. Any help would be great.

I guess that I should mention that it would be with MMF. I am hoping to make it look like a scroll with gold luster dust highlights.

I don't know why not. I decorate my fondant cakes with buttercream icing sometimes and it works out just fine.

Thanks so much, Debbie. I though that it should work out right. But I wanted to check the site before I made a mistake. Thanks again.

veejaytx just did a cake with a BCT on top of fondant; she has a post on it under the General forum called Anniversary Cake (or something to that nature)
