Does anyone have a picture of a cake they did with those wedding charms in it? I have a girlfriend who wants me to do it and I need some ideas.

Thanks,
Natalie

I don't know if you have done this cake or not yet - I did a shower cake with the charms (I don't have a pic), but I iced the cake in fondant. I took each charm and tied a ribbon on it (about 4-5 inches, and inserted the charm into the cake. I took another small ribbon, and made a bow, and used buttercream to adhere the bow to cover the part where the charm was inserted. It turned out cute - I had never done one before...

I would just lay the charms out on the cakeboard before you set the layers down or gently push them in after you ice and the patch with border. The cake charms I have only seen have been on the edge of the cake and each bridesmaid just grabs a ribbon and pulls it out.I don't think you need to completely poke it inside the cake.
