Helllo ladies,

I am going to "attempt" to make mmf. Any suggestions before I get started? And how would I make it whiter if it is not the white I want?

Thanks,

Trust me it will be super white!! Tip 1: use the name brand marshmallows and 10x sugar as this does make a difference!! Tip 2: start melting the marshmallows in the microwave w/2tbl water on defrost. Take them out of the microwave to stir then when you see the mm start losing their consistancy put your microwave on low/med heat. Stir every 15-20sec. Tip 3: When your kneading and the mmf is starting to get "dry" I would add 1 tbl water to the mmf and if it's still not the consistancy you want then I would put some water in my hands and rub them together, this would add a little moisture at a time. Good Luck, it's very easy and fun!!! Your hands will end up being very soft after!! :0)

Oh yea forgot!!! Use LOTS of crisco on your hands and surface of your counter. I've also read somewhere that you should not roll mmf on tile counter top as it sucks the moisture out of the mmf. good luck

If you don't want to put crisco on your hands, put on vinyl exam gloves (the kind you see in first aid kits) and then you can put crisco on your gloved hands, that way if you have to answer the phone you can just slide the glove on and off
