I'm in the middle of baking my first cookie bouquet cookies. So far, so good. The sticks seem to be sturdily affixed. The cookies didn't spread much. My basket is ready. I'm about to make the icing.

This may seem like a stupid question, but which side of the cookie do you frost? And why? I can see advantages to doing either.

Thanks,

Suzette

That isn't a stupid question!! I don't think it really matters which side you use but I usually ice the side that is up on the pan. That way the back is flat. As I typed that it really sounded dumb icon_rolleyes.gif but that is what I do! Some of the more experienced may have a better suggestion or at least a better explanation!! icon_lol.gif Good luck!

I ice the top (which would be the side of the cookie NOT against the pan, IMO).

Interesting how hard it is for me to describe things when I'm not face to face with someone. Probably because I can't use my hands!

I agree, ice the top of the cookie.
