I Opened My Big Mouth, Please Help W/imbc

I never think before I open my big mouth!!! I went on a interview on Friday for a cake decorating position and everything was going great, I even got the job but at one point she asked me if I had a good BC recipe and I of course start bragging about my recipe and how everyone loves it and you know blah blah blah... well the lady says can you please write down the ingredients so we can get them and you could make because I am searching for a new recipe.... I had to think for a minute before I told her that I would make a batch and bring it in for her to try before she buys the ingredients. Now the problem is that Ican't give her my recipe but I already offered to make one so I was wondering if anyone could please help with suggestions on what I should do or with a recipe that I could make for her. I don't want to sound sellfish but I was given this recipe by a bakeshop owner and she asked me not to give it out to anyone.
Thanks
Jackie
PS. The BC she uses now is purchased by the bucket... YUCK!
Martha Stewart has a good one (I believe it's on her web site) or Dede Wilson's is also great if you have one of her books!
I love the Wilton recipe, but that may be because I haven't tried anything else.

If I were in your situation, I would tell her just what you told us, that you do have a recipe that is great, but that you promised the person who gave it to you that you wouldn't share it. If she also owns a bakery or manages one, she would hopefully respect that.

I think you're good to go then. Pretty much any recipe you use will taste better.
I tend to agree with "i_love_icing". My suggestion would be ... tell her truth, the recipe you like to use most is one that was given to you with the promise of not sharing it with others. But, because you have already promised her a batch of icing to try, I would make a batch of BC (something you think taste and looks good) and tell her that you also like this recipe and give her a copy of it.
Personally I like the IMBC recipe I got off of this forum. I think it is both easy to make and use, and it tastes great.
The White as Snow Buttercream Icing recipe on this site is very very good - it also crusts nicely and holds up very well. I think you might add some of that Creme Bouquet or Bavarian Creme Extract that everyone raves about and you might just get something terrific! KM
