I think that's a great idea! Cookies can be cheaper and less time consuming than one big cake and are easier for those of us newbies icon_smile.gif

Sometimes I would rather make a cake and decorate it than make cookies. LOL, but I think of each cookie as an opportunity to experiment more than I did with the last.

Could we get a folder in the Gallery under Cookies for the Cookie Club? Then each month, have a folder added for that month So it would be Photo Gallery>Cookies>CookieClub>AprilShowers and we would all put our pictures in there?

I don't know who sets these up and if they would object. but i think this would be easier to see all of the cookies then putting them in the post or just putting them in the Cookie gallery since there are already alot of cookies in there.

Spring/April Showers sounds good.

I think erinlynn22 had a good idea if we could get a gallery folder to post our pictures to that would be great.

I am so excited to get going on this theme. I have a lot of ideas and wanted to ask if we are allowed to post more than one picture? I have a lot of ideas for this theme but don't know if I will get them all made at the same time or not that is why I am asking. I also wanted to ask how and where we are supposed to post out pictures? Is there a way to post them to a gallery that could just be designated for this? Thank you again for coming up with this idea. I cannot wait to see everyones designs.

Ok...so I've been watching this topic for a few days and now I guess it's time to say hello and put in my 2 cents!!

Sooo...I think this is a great idea! I would love to get into doing cookies. Especially since antonia is such an inspiration! icon_wink.gif

I was thinking along the lines of getting a section of the gallery for us, too. Great idea!!

My one question that I've come up with..for each month's theme, will there be a deadline to submit your photos?

Yes, this is a great idea - count me in as well! One question: will there be a minimum amount of cookies we will need to include in our picture?

I may not be able to do April, as I am having eye surgery in about a week and a half, but maybe I can get them done and turned in before then, since we already have a theme....

I want "in" and since nothing comes to mind for the first month, I'll take a leftover idea from craftst3 icon_lol.gif

I PMed Cake Princess and suggested that to be fair, she and Helen (Antonia74) should have to decorate their cookies blindfolded. That sounds pretty good, doesn't it?? thumbs_up.gif

If it is alot of trouble for them to make a separate cookie catagory it could just be included in the title when submitted Like,

" April cookie contest/spring showers"
Will the deadline be the end of each month?

Sounds like a great way to get more practice in.
Im sure even all the experts want to become More creativeand Fantastic. What a Great Idea!

I thought about asking Jackie if we could have a place in the gallery for our themes. However decided against it due to the fact that it would be added work for her to do, especially in light of the fact that they did not want to undertake a Cookie decorating contest at this time. So it would probably be best for use to create a thread for each month. All the pictures would be posted there for the time being.

Remember that the threads tend to slide down as more threads come in so you may have to search down the list. I will speak with Jackie and see if she will allow us to post each month's theme as a sticky so that it will stay on top for that month.

Hmmm, why didn't I think of all of this earlier? lol...
