I created my site using a free template I found online. I used a stock image for the homepage, but the rest are my cakes. As soon as I can do another cake I will switch out the home page.

One problem I am having is my logo. In Frontpage it looks crisp and clear, but when I upload the page it looks fuzzy. Anyone out there who has experience with this know why? Did I do something wrong?

Also, I had the logo created for $19 through an ebay auction. If you need a logo done, email me and I will pass on their information.

The website is: www.spikedconfections.com

Thanks,

Rochelle

Your site is easy to get around. I think it looks great and your cakes sound delicious!

Your logo looks good to me.

Nice site... as for the fuzzy logo - have you stretched the image beyond it's original size? looking at your script it says that you specified the size of the image - to me it looks like you resized the image within frontpage rather than enlarging/shrinking the image in a graphics programme (sizing specified : 257x162pixels). Check your original image information and see if that is the size it is... try delete all the data within that cell of the table, and add the image again... you may find the fuzziness go.

PM if you need any further help.

I think it looks great! The only thing I would suggest would be to change the background color of the page with the chocolates on it. Since a few of them are white, you can't see them. other than that, I think it looks great!

I also think it looks great! I would love to bite into one of your chocolates....the Bahama Mama in particular!

I like the site but wasn't sure of one thing...
On the left side you have three little blurbs with 'more' at end...they all lead to the same place. Was it supposed to be different? B/c that is how it reads. I was expecting something different each time I clicked on it.
Not sure if that is what you were going for or not, other than that, I really like it!!! icon_smile.gif

First of all, I LOVE your niche!! My DH commented that I bake a lot with alcohol- but not much of it goes into the cake. icon_rolleyes.gif Your site is great- I love that it's simple and clean!

I agree with Feefs about the blurry logo. Any time you resize, crop, or chage a graphic in any way, you need to do it in a program specifically for editing images- even "Paint" works fine. When you do it in the web page design program, it will always display funky on the page.

I would actually make the top "row" of your page layout a little narrower. It visually takes up too much of the page, and maybe shrinking the logo a bit would help there.

I like it. Clean design, easy-to-read i.e. not cluttered, nice fonts, and nice photography. Good luck!

Yes, I have to edit that still. I want it to lead to a seperate page that shows just that cake and the feedback for it. I still have to work on that.
