You can make:

Baby bottles - Kiddiekakes has one in her photo album
Pacifiers
Rattles
Safety Pins
Cookies that spell out the babies name.
Alphabet blocks

All of these are nice and simple.

Hi Pam,
I made some onsies for a friend when she found out she was having a boy. These were packaged in cookie bags with blue ribbon and a card stating "It's a Boy!" I made a pattern of cardstock, then layed that on my cookie dough and used an xacto blade to cut them out. I iced them with rolled buttercream and use royal for the details!

Hi pam

I made these cookies last month and they are soo easy to make. I got the design from Wilton. I attached cookie sticks on these after with royal icing (though it can be attached before baking), wrapped them in clear bag with riboons and mini plastic bottles and suce. They were a hit! A friend even told me she didn't want to eat them because they had "personalities"!!! LOL!

KHalstead Those babies are adorable. The picture in the Cookie gallery doesn't do them justice. How did you do the toes and the writing. The detail is incredible. Please, give us more details!!

that picture is from the wilton site LOL .......I ended up not writing on mine because of time restraints.....however, they were very easy to make!!!! I just traced the feet pattern on waxed paper over and over again....then flipped it over and piped on the toes first......after they were dry I went back again with thinner royal icing (figured this out after outlining and filling in the feet and didn't like the look)........and let them dry overnight before attatching them to the cookies.......you gotta make these a couple days in advance...I started decorating the day before and it was way too rushed.....here is the instructions for them though. They were really easy, don't let the pics scare you.

oh and also.........the instructions say to use a 3" cookie cutter for the head!! I would go with a smaller one....I used a 2.5" one and it turned out the same size as the baby's bottom cookie and I didn't like the look....I think I ended up using a 1.5" or a 2" cutter and it ended up being the perfect size after baking!! Also....I would say give yourself at least 2 days .....like I said before.....coat all your cookies and pipe the feet......let sit over night...then glue everything together....allow to sit over night again....then package.
