I have the chance to get a large number of people see my cake and take my business card tomorrow. The problem is that I am not crazy about the cake that I made. The figures are fondant (Thanks for those who answered my post about them) so I am proud of them, but I just am not sure how much I like the rest. Its chocolate buttercream on a chocolate cake. It is supposed to be the gym floor at the school. Is there anything I should/could add that would make it look...I don't know...just better I guess. It just seems plain to me. The balloons were not my original idea. I had to modify my idea from musical chairs due to time and probelms making folding style chairs. Thanks for any ideas!!!

Mushbug9..looks good to me.

But if you want to add some more....umm....lets see....why not add some sport items like a basketball, football, baseball bat. I know that chairs are hard but what able bleachers? Kinda like a long bench?

Whats the event for? Maybe you can incorporate something from that?

Otherwise it looks fine...sometimes less is more. thumbs_up.gif

Okay, this is the second time I am going to try this. I can't tell what the people are doing. Are they at a dance, are they playing basketball, are they at a party in a gym? What is the theme? Here are some ideas to make it possibly flow better: Have the guy who is kind of one his own holding a balloon and facing the other people. Maybe put a sign that says, balloons 5 cents next to the barrel. If they are at a dance add a small radio with musical notes "floating" above it on small wires. If they are at a game of some sort add a basketball and a hoop. If they are at a party you could face to people towards each other put a bar between them and have it look like the others are about to do the limbo. Without knowing what the scene is this is all I can come up with. Hope any of it helps out.

LOL. OK the guy in the green does have a baloon (its blocking his head. LOL. Its the CHaffee Fun Night. Basically the scene is that there are kids in line to get balloons and he got his and is walking away from the line. The music notes are because the kids who will be competing for the cake are playing musical chairs. The sign on the side says FUN NIGHT BALLOONS. I know, I took the pic at the wrong angle. LOL.

ahhh that helps. LOL. I just thought I couldn't see his features. Then I think your cake is fine. It has a theme and it makes sense and it looks good. Good job. thumbs_up.gif
