Is the white cake recipe good to use for fondant practice?

Unless you are making a very large cake, most any recipe will work. Just avoid the very soft ones like angel food. It is hard to smooth fondant over a cake that is always on the move.

oritdecor, until you post to the thread, you have to click on "watch this topic for replies" (at the bottom of the page ) to receive the reply emails. Even if you started the thread, it doesn't kick in until you post in it again. And yup what JoanneB said. Use a firm cake recipe.
