I havent used it, but I am leaning towards it wont crust, and if it does not well... whipped icing isnt made to crust I dont think, and I dont see anything in this to get me to believe it would.....

I made a wedding cake with stabilized whipped cream icing. Non crusting, but you can put on a crumb coat and shove it in the freezer, then put on a second coat... It smooths Ok. Wouldn't reccommend a piping bag, melts too easy. Get a stainless steel decorater tube and try...or use a bettercreme product to decorate with. THe decorator tube is a pain in the neck becuase its hard to control. I did cornelli lace, swirls etc out of wilton whipped icing mix. I gave the icing bag some refrigerator breaks, it melts too but not as bad.
