I just got to try my new kitchenaid mixer out.........I think I'm in love!!! Our anniversary is today, so I'm making (remaking) our anniversary tier. For the past 3 years, it's bothered me so much because I just hated the way she made our cake, unfortunately I hadn't been doing cakes then). Anyway, I've heard of people hugging their kitchen aid, and I gotta admit....I wanted to!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm so in love with my KA too! I pet it every now in then. DH laughs, but deep down I think he's scared. LOL! It's so easy to mix up cookies and icings now, I love it!
I actually got to make a double batch of icing this time!!!! Yay!!!!!!!!! LOL, he probably is a little scared!
I know what you mean. After i took it out of the box, and put it on the kitchen counter i took several pictures of it.
Oh my! Pictures! Well...I hadn't thought of that, but I see my sunbeam sitting over there and I can tell that it's sad.
Congratulations! I know exactly how you feel...... I just received mine as a gift a couple of days ago. And YES, I'm in love. I thought I would never get one. It was the best gift ever. Happy baking! (or should I say mixing!)
Michelle
You think you like it now?? Try throwing on the dough hook and watch that baby whip up a batch of MMF, minus all the leftover crusties. It's great!!!
I went for the black model - she's pretty...just like my car.
Hmm...a kiss....you must need help! LOL!
I actually looked in the bowl and thought oh my gosh, that icing is so pretty! I got those feelings that you get when you see a little newborn baby....I could go farther and say the feeling you get when you see your own newborn!
I was just like WOW!
My husband has very specific instructions to bury mine with me if I go before he does!! I love that KA!!
LOL, YOu guys are soooo funny. I don't have a KitchenAid yet but it is in my plan for some day. I love the commercial on TV, with the woman with one in a stroller. I'm like yep I get it.
Hi ya'll! I got my KA about 1 month ago and love it so much. It really makes it easier for anything that is mixed in it. I got the white one, but I wish I had extra money for a colored one, but oh well, it's a KA! You can't have your cake and eat it too, or can you? I don't know! LOL. Ya'll got me thinking now. HMMMM!
Oh, for those of you who can not shell out the money at this time or anytime, go to Wal-Mart and put that little baby on lay-a-way! LOL.
I love my KA too.. It's the only appliance that is on my counter top at all times.. It's nice sometimes just to go by it and see it there...
I won a red one at the fair last year but I already have one. I don't know what to do with it. Should I save it till this one breaks down or sell it?
You guys crack me up, just when I need a good laugh. I just love my kichenaid too. Only on CC could we talk about petting our Kitchenaids
You guys are so funny -- I too am so in love with my KA. I've had her a month now and don't know I lived without her. My husband just shakes his head.......
For anyone who doesn't have one and is on a budget -- Kohls will run them on sale alot. Plus if you have a Kohl's charge, they will run a special for customers to get an additional 15% off and if it's a major holiday weekend sale, even more off. Mine was on sale for $239 + $20 rebate and another 15% took me down to $189. Wahoooooo
I LOVE mine too. I just upgraded to the 6QT pro and I love being able to make such a great volume of things! I grew up with a KA and used it ALL the time...not having one was never an option for me!!! I LOVE it!!
i absolutely love mine... hand mixers always scared me... i thought i would get a finger caught in there someday! my husband let me buy a KA with my bridal shower gift money... whoo hoo... it's great! we also got a dishwasher which is equally great!
I love the hummmmm of my KA early on a Sunday morning...I have been known to sing along and do a little dance while it mixes away.
I'm sure my family members dont find it so charming...
My poor little Europro and I have been having daily arguments. I might need to get a divorce.
For years I wanted a KA, but the money was never quite there so I kept dreaming. My mom told me that she had one in her basement that I could have. I was thrilled so I went to pick it up. When She started handing me pieces, I knew something wasn't right, but kept my mouth shut until I got home. My daughter kept asking me what was wrong. I pulled it out of the box, and instead of being an older KA, it was a 1970's green, plastic Osterizer Kitchen Center. I wanted to cry I was so dissappointed. Now, I had my heart set on a KA for years so this was doubly sad. Luckily for christmas my wonderful company that I work for gave us christmas money instead of doing a christmas party. I gave the money to my husband and told him to take my daughter shopping to buy me my KA for christmas. She knew how sad I was so she thought it was her idea to get my KA for me. I wanted the pink one, but he got me the metallic chrome one. I LOVE IT. I still have the green Osterizer one, in the garage, ready for a volunteer agency to come get it..
when I received my KA my husband was informed he had just been replaced, I might add the KA did out last him.
This whole topic reminded me that when I got my KA for christmas I actually called my neighbor, the neighborhood chef, and rubbed it in that I now had a KA and he did not! Every time I see him, I tell him what I mixed up in my KA and asked him how he was doing with his little hand mixer
In defense of hand mixers...they are easier to clean.
Always look on the bright side of life (doo do do do doo do do dooo)!
Yeah, I want to see those pictures too!!!!!
Let's hear it for KITCHEN AID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
1, 2, 3, 4....what mixer do we love more?????GOOOOOOOOOO KITCHENAID!!!!!!!!!!!
I love my Kitchen Aid too!!!!
I have had my for about 23 years.
I told my husband about this thread. About how all you guys love your KA.
I said I have had my KA for about 23 years I said I think it is about time for a new one. He said "it's fine with me if you want one".
I love my husband too I have had him about 30 years. hehehe
JEALOUS, JEALOUS, JEALOUS!!!!
I've been asking ***cough***begging*** cough*** my parents for a KA from Costco for about 4 years now. I've offered to compleately give up all birthday and christmas presents from the whole family if they would just get me this one little itty bitty mixer. So far nadda. We havent had a mixer in my house for about 3 months now. I just broke down and got a betty crocker hand mixer this morning. The little thing could barely handle a batch of butter cream!!! Back to the store its going to go. I so dearly hate mixing everything by hand with a wooden spoon.
