I have a question that I hope someone can answer...I am getting ready to start my Course 2 classes...do I need my student kit yet or can I wait another week to get it? Will I need the tips that are in that kit for my first class? I was told just to bring icing to practice with.

Also, another question...When do we actually start learning the basket weave?

I am doing my class II final tomorrow. We started using the tips the first day, but some of the tips are duplicates of class I kit. My class was anxious for basket weave and started it on the 2nd class. It really depends on the instructor.

I would suggest getting the kit as you will need tip 5 & 81 to do the Chrysanthemum. If you already have those tips then you should be fine. The other tips you should already have if you did course 1, they are tips 3, 21 & 104. The basket weave really isn't taught until the last class of course 2. Hope this helps.
