Hi everyone,

I have an odd request. Everyone here is always so creative, so I'm hoping we will be able to come up with something.

At our church every Sunday there is a "children's message" as part of our service. One adult each Sunday gives a short message (around 5 minutes) and all of the little children come to the front for "their" sermon. It really is neat and a lot of fun. Different ones incorporate their hobbies/jobs. One guy who is an artist always describes a biblical story while drawing a picture that they cannot see and then reveals it at the end and it pulls the whole bible story together. We also give each child a treat each Sunday.

I want to find something that I can do with cake. I would love to do a cupcake cake iced plain and then describe some kind of bible story/lesson and decorate accordingly. At the end of the service, each child would get their cupcake.

Any ideas???

Why not do Noa's Ark?? & all of the animals and such... You can make the ark and some animals and describe that part of the bible to the kids...

Oh gee, the possibilities are only limited by your abilities.... since a ccc can be decorated any way a conventional cake can minus side directions. Do you have a subject matter in mind? You can do the Noah theme already mentioned. 5 Loaves and 2 Fishes would be cute on a cake. Walking on water. Jesus teaching in the temple. Raising Lazarus. Abraham's sacrifice. Garden of Eden and the serpent. The miracle of salvation. Jesus' upcoming return. I could go on for days and days and days.

Tell us what story you want to teach and then I'm better at suggesting decorating methods and ideas that way.

I'm sure you'll get many more ideas.
