Can anyone tell me how they prepare the Gumpaste from CK?The directions are confusing. Also is there anything you can add/do to gumpaste in order to make it more pilable?
I am trying run it through a pasta machine to make linquine shaped gumpaste, however it seems to soft for the pasta machinebut it then breaks apart and get brittle when i add sugarpowder???
Any suggestions??

Well, I just add the amount of water into the measured amount of gumpaste. I am not sure of the exact measurments (as I don't have the bag w/ me right now), but I just add the correct amount and mix w/ a regualr spoon till balled up, make sure you grease your bowl though. Hope this helps, wish I had to exact measurments with me.

I had problems with my CK GP mix too. I just kept kneading it until it came together. I also coated my hands in crisco which helps with the pliablitly.

1 TBSP of hot water to one cup of mix. Mix 1/2 of the mix with the water then add the other half of the mix.

8oz in one cup. So 2 tbsp for 16 oz (2 cups) of powder.

why dont u just measure the amount in cups? Missyjo, that oz:cup ratio is only correct for water. Its one of the only substances that measures in an equal volume to weight ratio.
