I really, REALLY want a printer for edible images. I went on Kopykake today and they are now making ink cartridges for epson printers. I have heard a lot of people have had problems with canon printers, are Epson printers any better? Anyone have an opinion on which would be better? Thanks!!

My edible image printer is a Canon, and I love it so far. I've only had it about a month, but I've done maybe 12-15 pages of images on it. I have had Epsons for my regular printer many times. They make fine images, but do have a problem with head clogging. I've had to run the cleaning routine a lot, which wastes ink...but is effective.

I would have to agree with the head clogging problems with the Epson printers (I have had two of them, great printers, but they do clog pretty easily), and with the edible inks it could be an even bigger problem.

Canon thumbs_up.gif Not only do Epson printers have clogging issues, you can't easily remove the print head to clean, service or replace it.
