I feel like I've reached the point (skills and confidence) to begin doing wedding cakes. I need help with pricing. I know that these cakes are are per serving and I have an idea of what I'll charge. But I wonder about other charges. Do you charge for and if so how much:
~delivery/set up
~fountain rental
~pillar and plate usage, etc

Also if using flowers on cake, do you order them and charge the bride or do you just have the bride do it?

Any other pricing info would be most appreciated!

fat-sissy....I love your screen name!! So I can't help you out much in the pricing dept. as I have only done cakes for friends. BUT when I do do them for friends and family I list all the equipment , plates, pillars etc and put what they cost if they are not returned or are damaged.

There is something stressfull about wedding cakes, They totally freak me out!!!!

i have been aske dto do my first wedding cake. I'm totally freaked out. What type of batter to use, and the mosy terrifing is the support. I have never use the pillars before. I'm totally freaked out. So I know what you mean. But I really want to do it. I'm just scared something is going to go wrong. Then the couple has no idea wwhat they want. I say keep it simple for them and my sanity.
