Just starting my roses for my final cake for Course 3 only to find out that my rose centers are too small! Help! followed the directions and made a teardrop shape with about 1/2 inch of fondant and set them to dry. So now I am rolling out the fondant and using the MEDIUM rose cutter (directions say to use the large one) and my petals totally and completely cover my teardrop. What do I do? My cake is due this Sunday...is there enough time to start over and make larger teardrops? Can I add more fondant to the existing teardrop? Please let me know what you would do in this situation. Thanks for your help.

Regards,

It works fine using the large cutters. The cake in my album I used the large cutters.

The first petal will pretty much cover the tear drop center. Then you arrange the other petals as instructed. If you have any excess on the base it's ok to pinch off a bit aand reshape so it's basically curved like the base of the tear drop. That's what I did i when I ended up with excess fondant while assembling the bud portion.

Hope that makes sense

Thanks cake princess, I feel so much better that I don't have to start all over again.

Best,
