I am doing a stained glassed cross cake for my son's confirmation this weekend, I would like to do some cookies to match. Now we all know that gel won't dry and I would like to put these in individual bags and tie with a ribbon, any ideas on how to make them colorful?

Do a roll out cookie. CUt the section out that you would like to be filled with the stained glass. Put some crushed boiled sweets in this hole. While the cookie is baking the sweets will melt and spread to fill the hole.Allow to cool on the tray it is baked on so the sweet can reset. Its important that your cookie sheet is flat for this technique and make sure it is well oiled so you can lift the cookie off afterwards

Lifesavers crushed up works really well for this technique and you can also line your cookie sheet with some parchment paper too and then lightly spray that to avoid any sticking whatsoever.......it's a really cool effect when it's done!! Good Luck don't forget to post the pictures I can't wait to see what the cake looks like!
