I am trying to start up my business, but I live on a military base. The city closest to us won't give me one, since it is federal property, and the base doesn't normally issue them. Does anyone have a suggestion or has anyone run into this problem before?

No sorry. Have you asked one of the merchants there on base how they did it? Maybe they could lead you in the right direction. Good luck.

I am military too and as far as I know the laws on base are the same as the surrounding area. If the state you live in allows you to bake in your home kitchen (if that's what your doing), you would just have to apply for a business license through the county (the base is in). You could go to the housing office and see if anyone knows, if not have the military sponsor go to his First Seargent (if AirForce or Army) or military advisor and they may be able to find out for you. Good luck and again im not positive, just trying to steer you in the right direction... icon_wink.gif
