I have made a 9X13 marble cake for my Grandson's birthday tomorrow. I have to travel 3 hours to get to his house. The question is:: Will milk chocolate make the trip if I decorate it tonight or should I wait until I get there tomorrow?? It is supposed to be around 50 degrees in the morning with about 49% humidity. The icing recipe that I have used is the Chocolate Buttercream Dream on this site. Thanks for any advice you have. I am desperate.

I don't think you would have any problems decorating before you go. If it were summer and like 90+ with humidity, I wouldn't but in the 50s, I think it would be just fine.
I used the White Buttercream Dream on both of my purse cakes last weekend. It was 79 here, and it traveled great We had to make it to Build A Bear and a few pit stops on the way. In all we traveled for 2 hours and not an ounce of melting! Hope that helps!!
i've used the chocolate bc dream recipe before and i have to say i didn't like it at all. i had lots of trouble with it. it wouldn't spread (instead, it tore up my cake), it had a grainy texture and it cracked after a while.
regular bc dream, however, love it! it does anything and everything you want it to do!
