I'd like to add some peppermint extract to the devil's food mixes I'll be using today but should I add it to the mix itself or to the icing? I'm thinking it should be in the mix, right? I don't want it to be overwhelming so how much should I add? 1 tsp per box? Too much? Too little? Help!

Peppermint extract is really strong...I am not posative but I would say 1/4 to 1/2 tsp would be great for not over powering...good luck..let us know how it goes.
