I have a request for a wedding cake for 200. She would also like me to do the groom's cake. Do you include the servings in the groom's cake with the wedding cake servings? She wants a golf bag for the groom and it will serve anywhere between 50 - 75. The wedding cake she wants will serve 100 - 130 depending on what size she decides to go with. Also, I was going to do a sheet cake to make up for the rest of the servings. But, if I count the servings from the groom's cake, I may not need the sheet cake. Do ya'll include the groom's cake in servings or is that just a separate entity all in itself?

There was just a post about this the other day. I think the consensus was that you feed the guests with the wedding cake and the grooms cake is usually extra. Most people seem to want a slice of both. That's how we did it at my wedding too. It makes sense too because the groom's cake is usually smaller.

I usually include it, but I do ask the bride if she wants it included. People don't usually have more than one piece of cake at a wedding, so including it makes more sense to me, but if she wants it separate, it means more servings and more money for you!
