hi all, i am doing a cake for my neice's birthday on Thursday. I am doing an Olivia the Pig cake. My plan was to just use BC Icing and create an image of Olivia to place on top of the cake. What do you all think I should use for the image? Color Flow, FBCT or a Choco Transfer?? The colors are Red, black and white.
Thanks!!

I think color flow has a tendency to break down on buttercream frosting. Could be wrong. I like fbct's. They're fun and easy to do. Haven't tried the chocolate transfer yet. I definitely want to try one. Sorry not to be of more help.
At least this will bump you to the top and someone with more experience might be able to help.

Well I have no answer but I do have a question, what is a fbct? I'm new to this and did a search but all I got was more posts talking about fbct and not info on what it is. LOL Thanks.

I would do an fbct. I like them because for the most part...you can always be prepared by making two if you want.

I hope this helps~Good Luck!

I've never done a fbct, but I JUST finished doing a chocolate transfer! My first!! Don't know how it looks yet but it was REALLY easy to do! Buy the colored choc. put in disposable decorating bag (do not cut tip until melted) put in microwave and your good to go! Here's a really good link on how to do them. I understand they're a little bit sturdier than fbct.
