For those who make BC or RI flowers.
Particularly the apple blossom, primrose etc.

How do you keep from squishing the first petal when you make the last petal?

I've been trying all day and I've got them down, they look perfect until I make the last petal, then I inevitably squish the first petal with the tip, or make the last one stand up weird to avoid touching the first.

When I do them my last petal winds up standing up but I try to finish it at the base of the first petal. Than when it drys enough to touch it I just gently use my finger to pat it into place.

Hmmm, see my problem seems to be that whenever I try to make the last petal stand up to not touch the first, the last petal doesn't form right, and either looks deformed compared to the rest or its at such an odd angle I can't tap it back down.

I guess it's more practice for me.

I too have the same problem, what I do is keep a small plate of cornstarch nearby and dab my finger in it and shake most of it off. Then dab the part that is sticking up too far. It will lay down nicely and you will see a big improvement. HTH!
