Would anyone be willing to share their wedding contract form with me? The one that the wedding couple signs....

I am about to create mine and just need to see some others to make sure I am covering all bases! You could PM me or e-mail me at:

Here's the contract from Sugar Bean Cakes...

My contract (which is currently being reviewed and tweaked by a lawyer), is a combination of Earlene's and Sweet Art Cakes (thank you guys!).
I had a situation recently that I am now in dispute with a bride who was not happy with the flavor of her cake (which she chose not to sample), and whose caterer said I delivered the cake late (I did not). So, now my contract will be 3 pages instead of one and a half. Sigh.

Cover everything you can possibly think of.

Sweet Art,
I must say I love your contract and have definatelly used bits and peices as I am a smaller company just trying to break into the wedding cake portion of sweets but definately found parts of our contract that I can definately use.

Thank you for sharing as yours was the one out of all on the internet I found that I really liked.

Thank you for the help thumbs_up.gif

extensive (borders on OCD!) generic contract:

https://drop.io/cc_contract/login
Password: Jackie-n-Heath09
(case sensitive -- and in honor of pending nuptials)
(hint -- copy from here and paste there)

see this thread for more info: http://www.cakecentral.com/cake-decorating-ftopic-630887-0.html

modify it as much as you want!

MUST be reviewed by a lawyer!!!! before you use it!!

So, Doug, does a contract have to be reviewed by a lawyer or have some special somethin', somethin' done to it to make it legal? I am asking because I am wondering if I have someone sign my contract and something goes wrong, is that contract I have going to hold up?

yes, a lawyer should review a proposed contract just to be sure all it's provisions are in line with your local, state, etc. laws and that it will hold up in a court of law.
