How Do I Tone Down An Intense Bright Pink Color?
Decorating By KrisD13 Updated 12 Mar 2006 , 8:57am by KrisD13
I haven't posted a lot of questions here on CakeCentral, but here goes....
I made a pink royal icing. I just wanted a light pink, but got a bit carried away with the initial toothpick worth of Wilton's pink.
How would I deepen the tone just a little bit? I want to make some stargazer lillies with the spatula striping method, and this bright tone just won't look right. (It's like a neon pink )
Any suggestions? And by the way, everyone here is super helpful. I have nothing but cudos for everyone here!
And thank you in advance for any help!
well, what about adding just a tiny bit of red? That might help. If you have some white, you might try that to tone it down.

Hope that helps
you could add some wilton whitener or add some more white royal icing. Not sure if you need more or not but adding more icing always works I invested ina bottle of wilton whitener and it has helped me get out of a few pickles

I used a touch of purple to tone down that neon color the pinks always seem to turn out.
Wow! I wasn't expecting such a fast response.
I'm going to take bits of icing and try the different methods you've suggested. I'll let you know how it goes, if my flowers turn out ok
Thank you everyone!
