I use a chocolate rolled cookie recipe. I think I got it from the kitchengifts.com website. I'll see if I can find it for you.

Here's the recipe and in my opinion it is very good:

1 cup unsalted butter
2/3 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 large egg
2 Tbsp extra-strong coffee or chocolate liqueur
1/2 cup cocoa powder
3 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt

Cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar for 2 minutes.
Scrape the bowl and cream the mixture for an additional minute. Beat in the egg
and coffee or liqueur. Beat until the liquid is absorbed. Sift together the flour,
cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Add the flour mixture 1 cup at a time to
the butter mixture. Mix well. If you are using a hand mixture you may need
to add the last cup of four by hand.

Divide dough and chill. Or, as I do, divide the fresh dough into thirds and roll
between sheets of parchment paper and then chill on a cookie sheet.. Bake 6
to 8 minutes at 350 degrees. Allow cookies to cool on the cookie
sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack. This dough can be frozen.

I got about 18 3" cookies out of this recipe.
.

Hope you like it.

You can get chocolate liqueur at the liquor store. You can get just a little bottle, but I use the extra strong coffee. If you don't drink coffee, just get a little jar of instant and follow the directions on the side for making a cup and then just add about half again as much coffee as it calls for and that will make it strong enough.....Sorry it took so long to get back to you. Hope this helps, if you need additional info, just let me know....I honestly like the chocolate cookies better than the regular No-Fail cookies.

I have made it with the Godiva chocolate liqueur once, and the extra strong coffee once. I'd have to say making it with the Godiva liqueur was better, in my opinion. One of those little individual bottles at the liqueur store will give you about 4 T, enough to do a double batch. Buy the little bottle and try it out to see if you like it, that's what I did before I pay $25+ for one of the bigger bottles (which I will be doing next time!)

I haven't used the liqueur in the cookies. I love this rccipe and it is from the website I mentioned previously. They are very similar in texture to the No Fail Sugar Cookies. I am going to try them with the Godiva though, as I just happen to have a little bottle I was going to use for cake balls.

Have you made these yet? I think you will really like them.
