I tried making a request in the recipe area and I don't think it worked, so I'll try over here.

A couple of weeks ago on Coronation Street, there was a reference to something called Lumpy Bumpy Cake. (Hayley's favorite!) But googling for a recipe, I'm coming up puzzled. I see some niiiiice pictures from UK pastry shops of chocolate toffee masterpieces. But the few recipes I've come across sound more like our Rocky Road bars, not these type of cakes.

So can anyone help me out here? What exactly IS Lumpy Bumpy Cake?

Lumpy Bumpy Cake is basically a sponge cake topped with a mousse-like topping and chocolate, nuts etc to give it a bumpy top. I make a toffee lumpy bumpy cake with a chocolate cake base, english toffee mousse, chocolate topping with chopped nuts and broken up heath bars. It's not a pretty cake, but it's darn good.
