Has anyone used the can of wilton "airbrush" on fondant? Does it dry? I want to spray white fondant with the black mist...

I asked this question a week or so ago, but wasn't able to get a clear answer from anyone that tried it. I'd love to know too!

I've used it a couple of times on buttercream, and I wasn't really happy with it. I found that it was hard to keep a constant even pressure, and when I tried it on the side of the cake, it was runny. I would be scared to try it on fondant, just because of how thin the consistency is. I would imagine it would leave streaks. I also found it had a strong taste, and it left quite a bit of coloring in my mouth! thumbsdown.gif

yes, I was thinking that it is so runny it won't "stick" to the fondant. I remember trying to spary small hearts black, and it wouldn't stick at all.

Oh well...

I'll have to just color the fondant black or use black chocolate frosting

I have used it before on both. It does run a bit on fondant because it comes out to quickly and in spurts. You also need to cover everything within a 2-4 foot radius as it has a large over spray. I finally figured out that you really need to stand back about 12" from your cake and start spraying before you actually hit the cake, this will provide a softer look.
I hope this helps icon_wink.gif
