a template is just a pattern that you would use to lay over something and cut it out....you can make them....I guess it alll depends on what you're looking for, if I knew what you were after maybe I could be of more assistance...is there something in particular you're trying to make???

the wilton pattern books are full of patterns to make all of the cakes in their yearbook......but pretty much like I said a template is just a pattern....so I"m sure you could find them online, I can't imagine people would be charging for them though.....because usually it's just a photo on a piece of paper.....like if you wanted to do a buttercream transfer or a color flow item you would use a "template" which would just be a photo that you're using as a guide to trace out the design you're after.....it's not as complicated as I think it sounds...kinda like the whole torted cake thing...sounds impressive, until you figure out it just means that you cut the cake into layers and frost in between the layers LOL
