i'm doing a cake , pirate ship for an 8 year old. can anyone tell me how to get the general shape? i was going to maybe start with my football, cut off the back so it's straight, then stack that on front to build it up? anyone who's ever done one PLEASE help me with construction. i'm hoping i haven't bit off more than i can chew. i've seen some really cool ones in the gallery but not sure how to construct it. i want to do it all in buttercream, probably just do the sails with skewers and stiff paper? help, it's due sunday. thanks

I haven't done one but there is one in the gallery by honeybee. Maybe if you pm her she can explain how she made hers. It's out of this world.

Of course you can cruise the CC gallery, there are some cool ones there as well!
