I just made my first batch of MMF tonight but have not had a chance to work with it yet. I was just wondering how long it will keep for and if i need to refrigerate it or can it be stored at room temp? Same questions for Fondant.
I did an experiment tonight to taste and try both Fondant (wilton store bought) and MMF.

So far, the fondant was sooooo sweet, i don't think i would like any more than small doses of that. MMF was definately better tasting. It reminded me of the marshmellows in Lucky Charms Cereal.

The Fondant was definately easy to work with, very flexible compared to what i have worked with in the past (chocolate clay).
I will try working with the MMF tomorrow after it has sit overnight. icon_biggrin.gif

Do not refridgerate your fondant or MMF.. If you keep in a sealed container wrapped in plastic it will keep for a very long time. I have some fondant smaller pieces that I have had since Christmas that I was foolin with and they are still soft. Marshmellows too will last a very long time and if the MMF gets a little hard you put it in the microwave for a few seconds to warm a bit and it will soften. The fondant if gets a little hard you can add some crisco to it.
