OK I was very sad that my Michael's store was no longer going to offer the Wilton classes, but I found out why late last night. Apparantly, Village Crafts was just an experiment for Michael's and even though our particular store was raking in the bucks it was an executive decision on Michael's part to close all of the Village Craft stores. Now I am really sad because even though we have other craft stores in town, this one has the best selection of Wilton/cake decorating items. I went in there today though and since they are closing their doors, they have everything in the store at 30% off the lowest marked price. I got alot of stuff from my wish list and spent about $120.00. I am going to have to tell my husband how much I saved us instead of how much I spent. The way I look at it I was planning on buying all of it anyway a little at a time. This way I just saved 30%. I wish I had more $ though cuz I really wanted to get some wedding cake seperators and tons of other stuff. I guess I am going to have to find other places to get my stuff now!!

I lost my Michaels too! My DH joked that I mourned as if I lost my best friend. Iloved that store because they had the biggest variety and ran the 1/2 of any regular priced item coupon. I offer my condolences.

We had a Michaels here about 10 years ago. We have a Hobby Lobby, but the best place I have found is a little gift store that has a cake decorating section. Sorry about your store.
