I found some cookie sticek for .25 per package. When do I insert them into the cookie? Any tips?

Missyleigh,

You can put them in before you bake (but I find that takes up a lot of space...you can't bake as many as once) or insert them right after they come out of the oven. I've done both and both ways work just fine. Lately I have been placing the stick on the back and "gluing" it with white candy melts. It adheres very quickly and holds well.

WHat kind of cookies do you usually use?

I insert the sitcks before baking. From what I understand, you have to be pretty quick if you do it after baking, and I never know that I'll have the time to do it right away, so I insert before. It does take up more room that way and you can't get as many cookies on the sheet at a time, but that doesn't bother me...could be a problem if you were making a lot of cookies, though. Jodie

I use a recipe that is similar to the NFSC recipe but mine doesn't use any baking powder.
