Was it in NYC? how was it?
I got to psyched about cookie decorating i had to sign up for it.
I'm so excited to go. I tried searching for other local places that offer
cookie decorating class but had no luck.
So hope to get the hang of it once i go to that class. I have not even tried doing it on my own at home. Just baked shaped cookies and that's it. Unfortunately they expanded.
I took Toba's cookie class at the ICE in NYC and loved it. I had a blast, learned a lot, especially about mixing colors for the icing. I've ended up teaching most of my girlfriends the technique and having cookie decorating parties for all the major holidays to get together, chat, and do some icing magic. I even held my own "class" last Christmas that was a huge success. You'll have a great time.
You replied to me at another board. I think i got the idea from you! so thank you! I tried paging you at the other board, but never got a reply. My name is a bit different over there though. Thanks i enjoyed it and i'm going for the Advanced coming up in May 12 i believe. I can't wait! she's great
Wish I could take them. Do they pretty much follow her book? She is in the D.C. area; is that right?
Yes it's pretty much what her book has. And she's actually in NYC area. (I believe) She teaches quite a few courses on decorating at ICE.
I really want to take her cake decorating course but it is 5 days. I'll have to wait until my daughter is in kindergarten!
I feel the same way. I took the cookie Design cause it was only one day. But it's hard for me to take the whole wk off work for this, or take it during the wknds cause of the kids. But it's also something i'd love to do. I have taken wilton cake decorating class at Micheal's. I feel her's will boost me so much more.
