As I was getting ready to brush my teeth this morning, I realized I was "piping" my toothpaste onto my toothbrush. I was making neat little beads...I had no idea how out of control this has gotten...intervention!!! Anyway, made me laugh first thing this morning, so I guess that's a good thing. Enjoy your day!

I swear in the back of my mind I thought, "wow that would make for a pretty cake".. A shirt!!!! what the hell???
I see things out of the ordinary and think, hmmm.. That would be an amazing cake design..

I forgot to mention that my best friend and i regularly go to bakeries just to look at the cakes. I dont mean we just pop into a bakery, its usually a day's outing to Vancouver because they have so many bakeries.

I put whip cream into a piping bag for breakfast when we have pancakes. Then I usually pipe some funky boarder on my kids pancakes. Just for practice. icon_eek.gif They are 2 and 3. Do you think they care? icon_redface.gif

Ok I died laughing when I read this because now I know I'm not the only one! My husband caught me one time and was like what are you doing to the cool whip? I just smiled and said "practicing". He just shook his head and said that's pitiful!

LOL And I can see him saying pitiful!!! Spouses are so mean sometimes.. I always get that " here we go again, cake talk" look when I open my mouth!!! Kids are always saying " mom can I please X out the cake site".. I'm like NOOOOOOOOOOOO.. Then I take a breather and say.. ok but don't be on forever, I need to get on.. They are like" NEED?". HA HA.. Yes I said " NEED ". icon_redface.gif I need to get my CC fix!! icon_cry.gificon_cry.gif

It's hilarious how addicting this site has been. I am ususally in school all day but this week is spring break. I volunteered to work a couple of days at the store I work at...trouble is they just recently got wireless internet. My computer has not been off of CC for the past two days, except for when I have to drive home. Then it's back on!

I'm right with you all! My 2 year old sits in my lap sometimes at the computer and says "ooh pretty cakes! Mommy makes pretty cakes!" She likes the ones with flowers the best and is always happy to see royal icing flowers being made!

I also see cake designs in everything!Especially my 2 daughters clothes!

My husband gets so mad when I escape to the computer too! When he is home I find myself making excuses to go into the computer room just so I can take a peek! At first he was all excited about eating cake and now he keeps asking me to make other desserts, says he's sick of cake! So I find myself trying to decorate everything! I even put little buttercream flowers on my lemon bars! They are in my pics!

I met with the MOB tonight and officially booked it. I about died when she showed me the flowers she wants on it! All I could think about was a few weeks ago when Tcturtleshell (I think) posted some ugly walmart flowers and ask how can I do this with these! I have the same flowers! I only hope I can do as well as she did with them. I am going to have to find that post maybe I can get some inspiration from her creation. It is definatly not my choice. I started this saying I wish I could do a wedding cake, now I am on my second and I am saying I wish I could do a pretty wedding cake. I guess our job is to do what the bride ask of us.

Whenever I go to a store that has a bakery, I have to look at the cakes. I stand in the baking aisle just to look. When I go to a craft store or Walmart, I have to steer throught the cake aisle, just in case. When standing in line at a checkout, I look at the magazine covers to get ideas. I can't just ice a cake without some sort of froo-froo on it. If my 2 year old comes to me while on CC looking at a cake, she says "mommy, cake!!!" She likes to look through my book, too. Oh help me. My addiction is affecting my children!! No, please, don't unplug the computer!!! Just one more min.....
