Clear Bags For Cookies...help Please!
Baking By golfgirl1227 Updated 16 Mar 2006 , 3:13am by golfgirl1227
I found a site where the prices are reasonable and am about to order, but not sure if I should get the flat bags or the side-gusseted bags.
TIA,
Suz
may just be personal opinion... but, I like the gussetted ones, too, because then I can trap a little bit of air inside to help "cushion" the cookies.
just to let you know.....I bought some clear gussetted bags that I use for cookies at wal mart in the birthday party section......you know how they have all those long decorated cellophane type bags .....well they have clear ones too.....they're called "treat bags" 20 large cello bags with twist ties and the ties are silver, very pretty.....and I paid under 2 dollars for them.....just something to keep in mind in the future for when you're in a pinch and can't wait for an order of bags!!!

I buy the clear ones at Hobby Lobby, $1.99 for 39. I bought the gusset ones, but my cookies were to big to fit. So I got these, I just tie a ribbon around them and thats it.
I have Easter cookies to package, so in the Dollar Store I found Easter decorated bags at 25 for $1....thought that was a good deal. They are longer than wider, but can fit one large cookie each in them. Figured 4cents a bag was not a bad price!

Which section of the store are these in? I take it they are the flat bags, and not gusseted. Do you know how wide they are? I have some cutters that are 5.5 inches.
TIA!
