I have a little bottle of chocolate hazelnut Lorann oil in my cupboard and thought it would be yummy to try adding it to some chocolate ganache. I have no idea how much to use though. I'm sure I've seen this discussed here before, but when I do a search for Lorann, I get nothing. icon_confused.gif Can someone help me out? The ganache recipe I will be using is "Chocolate Ganache 1" by cheftaz on this site. Thanks!

Happy Baking,
Beth

I don't know if the fact that you are adding it to ganache and not buttercream makes a world of difference, but I used about 4-6 drops for 4 cups buttercream.

I would say go for a few drops and then taste. Just keep adding until it's where you want it.

So far, I've found that Lorann oils strength varies significantly. I use an entire bottle of the champagne flavor. However, 1/4 teaspoon of the almond flavor was judged "way too strong" by my family. I used about 1/2 teaspoon of the orange and thought it was just right. So...start small and taste often.
