i heard you start off with chocolate buttercream and add black color paste...
i'd liek to know too so here's your BUMP
Welcome Boloantiano!!! If you don't want chocolate buttercream, just keep adding black!!!
Americolor Super black... I can't say that enough! If you look at my pictures on my Over the Hill cake I started out with white icing and got a perfect black. It leaves no bitter aftertaste.
Americolor super black! I agree! Just tried it for the first time directly onto white icing and it worked great! No bitter taste like the Wilton, either. I love Americolor red, too, for the same reason.
I've used wilton's and started with a white buttercream and got it pretty darn black..........just keep adding........and when it's a fairly dark greyish purple, I stop and let it sit for 20 min. and come back and it's usually REALLY black like I need it and if not I add a little more and wait another 10-20 and it always works. Here is a cake I did with tons of black icing.........I would say it's pretty black!
KHalstead: that spiderman is soooo creapy and awesome at the same time....you're good!
