I'm making cookies with a edible image on them. Will regular cookie icing work like the one posted here or Toba Garrett's recipe or will it crack the picture as it dries? Does anyone have any experience with this?
Thanks.

Icing Image Application Instructions
Frosting should be buttercream, or common store bought ready-to-spread frostings. Wet whipped cream or non-dairy toppings can cause the image to fade. For best results, use a white frosting where the images are to be placed, and spread the frosting as smooth as possible.
I always use the store bought tub icing. Works perfect. The cookies last forever. I have one I use as a sample that is from November and the image still looks good - the cookie is in a bag with ribbon.
