I am have an order for a full sheet cake for a nursing home's employee appreciation day.. they dont want medical instruments or anything I am a little tired of doing roses.. Can ANYONE help me think of something? If I cant think of anything I will do roses again.... Thanks in advance

Maybe a chocolate cake w/ choc mocha buttercream ...you could do a basketweave with some choc covered strawberries on top & maybe with choc dripping down the sides. Can you tell that I'm hungry icon_biggrin.gif

They want 1/2 white and 1/2 chocolate with white frosting.. Your idea sounds awesome but dont think it woulld work for this.. Boss doesn't want me do to much to it but I am tired of roses

Maybe you could just make it colorful with swirls or dots. I did this for a hospital and molded candy letters. I used several different colors for the borders as well. I will see if I can post a picture of it. icon_smile.gif

That's a toughie! I got to thinking though, and what about doing something with a 'hug' theme? I did a google and found a couple of images you might be able to work into something. Good Luck, I'm anxious to see what you come up with.

I don't know what the building looks like, but if it is not too difficult and it is a pretty one, maybe outline the building onto the cake. A couple of trees and finish. Would look great in just two colours as well, sort of like a black and white foto, like in the old days.
