Cookie Club - April Theme Suggestions

I would love either Easter or Spring... I guess I can´t think outside the box But my vote is for Easter.
Before I tabulate your vote, would you like to vote for both? Many (including myself) are casting votes for more than one thing. Let me know!
YES, I would love that!! I didn´t know I could do that. Thanks!
Well... I don't know if you CAN do it, but almost everyone who has voted has said "I vote for this and that..." Hey, I'm cool with it!
So the new vote stands as such:
Royalty: 6
Spring: 6
New Beginnings: 5
Easter: 3
Fairytales: 2
April Fools Day: 1
Chocolate: 1
Smile Month: 1
New tally: Royalty and Spring in first place, New Beginnings in second place with (5) votes. Hey, if anyone is getting a different count than me, let me know!
I should say I too want to vote for spring if chocolate was only voted by 2 people. Spring is my back up.

Can you clarify your vote for me please? You want to vote for both Spring and Chocolate, is that correct? So I would add 1 vote to each of these categories? I just want to make sure I'm understanding you.

Sure, since chocolate is coming in last , I vote for spring.
Spring: 7
Royalty: 6
New Beginnings: 5
Easter: 3
Fairytales: 2
April Fools Day: 1
Chocolate: 1
Smile Month: 1
New first place theme is Spring. Royalty is second and New Beginnings is third.
Please remember, folks...
If you can't get to it that's fine, but it's not fair to others if you vote with no intention of baking - we ran into this a few months ago.
Hey mis, you can always make your cookies with chocolate dough - no matter which one wins!
I love the royalty theme! Queen Elizabeth II's birthday is April 21st (same as mine & I'm an Elizabeth also! ) and Cake_Princess said her bday is in April too. LOL
(For those who were thinking Easter, that fits royalty also, since Christ is the King!)
SO... to make it official, my vote is for Royalty, and my 2nd choice is new beginnings. I am determined to bake some cookies this month, no matter what theme is chosen!
I agree that Easter and Royalty can be tied together that way, very clever thinking, moms.
I'm gonna make my own logic to make what I want and tie it to the theme somehow.
That's the idea, to get us thinking in a different way. The more convoluted, the more interesting to me. I can see ways of combining several of the ideas, so I think I'm set no matter what...
Destini, the new cookie club thread is usually posted on 4/1 by bonniebakes or cake_princess.

True, I only made the rolled chocolate cookie recipe once and it was to dry and no taste. Soo haven't found another one yet. I was thinking of just putting some cocoa powder in my reg cookie dough.
I vote for Royalty. My favorite color is purple, LOL. I'm going to be baking a large box of cookies for my brother who is a 1st Sgt and his troops; they're in Afghanistan. Some of his guys aren't recieving anything as far as letters or any correspondence, so I figured a big box of cookies might lighten their day a bit.
Royalty: 9
Spring: 7
New Beginnings: 6
Easter: 3
Fairytales: 2
April Fools Day: 1
Chocolate: 1
Smile Month: 1
Royalty in first place, Spring in second with (7) votes and New Beginnings is third with (6) votes.
Okay, I have a question: Let's say for example that Spring wins. In that case, can I make some cool little chocolate confections using Springy cookie cutters? Or does it have to be a cookie per se?
Royalty: 9
Spring: 8
New Beginnings: 6
Easter: 3
Fairytales: 2
Chocolate: 2
April Fools Day: 1
Smile Month: 1
Royalty still in first place with (9), Spring in second place with 8 votes and New Beginnings in third place with (6).
LOL Bob..just saw your post. Nope..just 3 kids...thought it would be a conversation starter...hee hee

I send all my cookies and stuff to my brother. He's in the Navy and they don't get a lot of stuff sent, because seemingly the people on land have no confidence that it will get to them on the ships.
I went to the kids in the local elementary school and had them make cards for the troops. We sent out 670- something cards to various military branches. It was fun, and the troops were thrilled.
Well, it's Friday, March 30 and unless there are any more votes, the vote tally is thus:
Royalty: 9
Spring: 8
New Beginnings: 6
Easter: 3
Fairytales: 2
Chocolate: 2
April Fools Day: 1
Smile Month: 1
Royalty winning with 9 votes, Spring coming in second with 8, followed by new beginnings with 6.
