I haven't done this yet, but I recall from reading other's posts -
Many recommend adding the color to the melted marshmallows before you mix with the sugar.
But, you can also knead it into the finished product -takes a little more "elbow grease" though.
So I just did a cake today and covered it in pink MMF. I have done MMF a few times before and always just knead in the color while I am kneading in the powder sugar. But this time I decided to try mixing the color into the melted MM before I put any of the powdered sugar in. It worked well. I ended up wanting it a darker pink than it was so I kneaded in more color. Tip: If you knead in the color and the fondant is starting to get a little hard, just put it in the microwave for about 20 seconds or so. Make sure when kneading to always have powder sugar on you work surface (some use corn starch, but I always just use the sugar and that's how I incorporate it in with the MM).
Hope this helps!

THANK YOU!!! great tips!!
jmcakes...I'm about 5 min from having the nerve to dive in!!!
OH BOY OH BOY!!! I mixed up my mmf HOW FUN !!!!!!!!!!!!
I can't believe I was so afraid of it!!!!!!! It wasn't nearly as hard as I thought it would be!!!!!!!!
jmcakes....you HAVE GOT TO try it!!!!
Now...I haven't done anythign with it....haha, its cooling right now!!! but my biggest fear was the mixing!!!
I used my kitchenaid for most of it but when I got to the last bit of powder sugar I kneaded it by hand!!!
AND IT IS SOOOOOOOOOOOO THERAPUTIC!!!!!
Im sorry, but Im very new to most of this and I must ask the idiot question: what is MMF?
I have not done this myself, but I saw a bit about putting the color in while the marshmellows are shoft, make a deeper color..
I have always just kneeded mine, but I thought it was agreat tip
